Hollyford/Kilcommon N.S took place in a U13 Hurling blitz in Bansha on Friday April 13th. The team gave a great display of hurling skills ad topped their group. They played Monard NS in the final but unfortunately did not win. Thanks to every one who helped and supported Hollyford/Kilcommon N.S at their blitz.
Hollyford Ns Senior Boys took part in the FAI Soccer Tournament in St. Kevins Two-Mile-Borris on Thursday March 22nd. We played three games- won two and lost one. All our team had a great day.
We celebrated Lá Fhéile Padraig with a Lá Glas on Friday March 16th. Everyone dressed up in eadaí glasa and we celebrated our Irish culture with Music, song, poetry and acting.
Mobile Music School visited our school on Tuesday February 20th. Shay hoisted two percussion workshops for the junior and senior rooms. Pupils played jemba drums, snare drums, tambourines, bells and sound shapes. Pupils were also introduced to shakers, scrapers, woodblocks, guiros, rain stick and ocean drum. All pupils played the percussion instruments and composed their own rhythms and tunes . Every one enjoyed this great musical experience.
